Pharmaceutical giant Moderna has announced that it is developing a booster vaccine. or a hybrid shot booster that can prevent both Covid-19 and influenza in one needle

The vaccine Moderna is developing, called mRNA-1073, is a combination of Moderna's Covid-19 vaccine with an in-development influenza vaccine.

Stephen Bancel, CEO of Moderna, said: “Today we announce the start of a new respiratory vaccine program with the development of a single-dose vaccine in combination with a booster vaccine against Covid- 19 and an anti-flu booster.”

Bongcel continued: “We are making progress in recruiting patients to our Rare Disease Program. And we have full candidates for personalized cancer vaccines. We believe this is just the beginning of a new era of data-driven medicine.”
